Tamara Coleman

Profile
Tamara was taken on by the firm June 2019 as a trainee solicitor following an impressive trial period
where Martin Cray was impressed by her ability to focus on key aspects of a case and deliver clear
views on how to address these aspects. Tamara qualified as a solicitor in June 2021.
Tamara has a strong academic background having received a first-class honour in Law from the
University of Winchester and a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course from the University of Law.
Early into her career, Tamara has attended a range of Courts, including the Crown Court, the County
Court and Family Court, alongside both Counsel and our own in-house advocates.
Tamara frequently attends police station interviews both for existing clients and new clients who
have sought representation out of hours.
Tamara’s focus within the firm is Family Law, Probate and Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys.
Tamara has vast experience in dealing with family matters ranging from agreed financial remedy
matters and supporting parents with parenting plans, up to fully contested litigation proceedings in
all areas of private family law including relocation matters, child arrangement cases (including where
criminal allegations are made and fact-findings are required), prohibited steps proceedings and non-
molestation proceedings.
Tamara is frequently complemented on her supportive and dedicated approach with her clients
whilst ensuring her clients are properly represented and advised as to how best to progress their
case.
Tamara also splits her family caseload with probate cases ranging from simple estate administration
to fully contested probates such as where executors are required to be removed, or Dependent Act
Claims are considered.
Tamara’s contentious probate experience ranges from attending and advising clients at mediation to
try settle a matter at the earliest opportunity to maintain family relationships, to full High Court
litigation if the matter requires judicial involvement on points of law or if parties cannot agree all
aspects within the resolution.
In her spare time – Tamara is a keen baker, travelling within and out of the UK and enjoys taking her
dog for long walks in the country.
